The 'Sword in the Rock'... at the bottom of Lake Garda

An unusual find occurred in the waters of Lake Garda during a dive by GAS Diving in Bardolino. Embedded in the rocks was a sword, just like the legendary Excalibur that was given to King Arthur by the Lady of the Lake. Dating back to the Bronze Age, it is believed to be a votive gift to the waters, considering that the Veronese shore of Lake Garda was considered a sacred place for the ancient inhabitants of the 2nd Millennium B.C. and it was found not far from ancient rocks with rock depictions.
