Virgilio Milani exhibition in Palazzo Roncale

Given the great success of the exhibition, already open from 25 March to 25 June, the exhibition "Virgilio Milani e l'arte del '900 in Polesine" curated by Alessia Vedova will reopen at Palazzo Roncale from 1 September to 5 November 2023.
The artistic path of Virgilio Milani, dedicated to the important sculptor from Rovigo, appears as a thread of a great journey among the various protagonists of 20th century art history in Polesine, who created a sort of artistic coterie with Milani, Mario Cavaglieri, Leone Minassian, Edoardo Chendi and Paolo Gioli, who is considered Milani's "heir" together with the critic Giuseppe Marchiori.
A journey through art, but also through history and stories from the early post-war period to the 1980s of the Polesine twentieth century that has amazed and fascinated many visitors and residents, bearing in mind that Virgilio Milani's works are scattered throughout the city, giving rise to an interesting 19-stage itinerary.

This is an unmissable opportunity not only to visit the exhibition at Palazzo Roncale, but also to spend a weekend discovering the historical and artistic heritage of Rovigo and the many villages not far away, where you can find villas-palaces, museums large and small, sacred places without forgetting nature and the flavours of land and water that the 'Land between Adige and Po' knows how to offer with taste and spirit.
