Second World Gravel Bike Championship

The anticipation for the UCI Gravel World Championships 2023 is growing, and the stage is set to welcome cyclists from all over the world. The event is scheduled to take place in the Province of Treviso on the weekend of 7-8 October, and this gravel race promises to be truly exciting, both from a sporting and a landscape point of view.

The route, which crosses no less than 26 municipalities of the Marca Trevigiana, is a real gem, with 169 km of white roads, challenging climbs, and breathtaking scenery. The start will take place at Le Bandie Lake in Spresiano, the same location that hosted the UCI Cyclocross World Championships in 2008. This quarry has been transformed into a multifunctional sports centre thanks to the initiative of the Mosole family.
The athletes will tackle the route with determination, starting with a dirt road that winds around the lake, then heading towards Cimadolmo and crossing the Grave di Papadopoli. The longest stretch of dirt road, 21 km long along the Piave River, will test the cyclists' endurance. At Ponte della Priula, they will leave the riverbed and cross the Borgo Luce estate, tackling the first climbs between rows of vineyards, with the majestic San Salvatore Castle dominating the landscape.
