VOLUPO - Voga Longa in Polesine

A special Sunday for all fans of rowing sports with the 1st edition of VO LU PO Vogalunga del Polesine, an evocative 33-kilometre rowing race along the Po from Sermide to Santa Maria Maddalena.
An event that attracts crews even from Liguria, Piedmont, and Friuli, demonstrating the great interest in the practice of the so-called 'voga alla veneta'.
 VoLuPo, an inter-regional event, focuses on the rediscovery of rowing: participation is open to 'human-powered' boats, i.e. canoes, kayaks, and even sup. The programme includes a rally in Sermide at 9 a.m. with departure at 10 a.m., a stop for lunch in Gaiba at the S. Anna Nautica jetty at around 1 p.m., and arrival in S. Maria Maddalena at around 4.30 p.m. for a brief ceremony to present certificates of participation.
