Appointments at the “Little Phoenix” in Badia Polesine

The Eugenio Balzan Social Theatre, built in 1813, is a truly charming little jewel, so much so that it has earned the title of "Little Phoenix" for its decorations, the result of the great work of Francesco Saraceni and Giovanni Abriani. Among the symbols of Badia Polesine, together with the Vangadizza Abbey, it is a treasure chest of art which hosts highly attractive events in a unique setting.

The winter season, now in its fourth edition this year, is packed with opera, prose, musicals and concerts. 5 events of the 2023 winter season will illuminate the scene of the "Little Phoenix", from October 21st to December 16th. The debut of the exhibition will propose a tribute to the unforgettable beloved Maria Callas, for the centenary of the birth of the Divine. This will be followed by the comic theater of Tiziana Foschi and Antonio Pisu who will stage their show "Faccia un'altra faccia". The third appointment will be dedicated to a tribute to Ennio Morricone, with his soundtracks reworked in the form of suites for violin by Marco Serino and orchestra. The fourth appointment will present a wonderful "first time": the musical "The Legend of Beauty and the Beast", with 22 artists and more than 70 costume changes. The short winter season will end in a national exclusive with the great Christmas concert "Magic Christmas in soul".
